Netflix comes to Sky Q

Netflix is coming to Sky Q. The broadcaster has announced a new partnership with the streamer to bundle the full Netflix service into a brand new Sky TV subscription pack.

Sky says it will will make available the entire Netflix service “to new and existing customers “ by creating “a brand-new and attractively priced entertainment TV pack.” The deal brings the Netflix 4K content library into Sky’s increasingly dominant UHD portfolio.

The agreement with Netflix also extends to Sky’s contract free streaming services. Sky will launch Netflix as a standalone app on NOW TV’s family of streaming devices including on the recently launched NOW TV Smart Stick. Sky subscribers will be able to use Sky Q’s search and voice functionality to navigate Netflix.

Existing Netflix customers will have the option of migrating their account to the new Sky TV bundle, or sign into the Netflix app using existing account details. The news follows yesterday’s announcement of increased functionality for the platform.
