VirginMedia has formally announced its Next Gen TiVo set top box, the V6. It supports 4K UHD, along with streaming to mobile devices. Epson has confirmed a UK release for its upcoming line of 4K ‘enhanced’ home cinema projectors, setting new low price points for the technology. The EH-TW7300, EH-TW9300 (pictured above) and EH-TW9300W all offer support for HDR content with a wide colour gamut able to cover sRGB and DCI colour spaces. Panasonic will launch its first 4K UHD Blu-ray player in the UK mid-April. Priced at £599, the UB900 combines UHD playback with audiophile performance and extensive audio file compatibility. It will also be the first 4K source device certified by THX. The company has inked a deal with Warner Home Video to bundle UHD Blu-rays of San Andreas and multi-awarding winning Mad Max Fury Road discs with the player.
